    Day 1 | Your Journey Begins in Budapest

    Welcome to Budapest! Upon arrival, meet your private transfer at the airport and make your way to your five-star hotel for a two-night stay. Once checked in, indulge in a welcome reception dinner within the refined ambiance of this art nouveau landmark, providing the perfect opportunity to connect with your fellow travelers in anticipation of this highly awaited journey.     Day 2 | Budapest

    Today, embark on a comprehensive city tour encompassing landmarks such as the Royal Palace, St. Matthias Church, and St Stephen’s Cathedral. The remainder of the day is yours to relish at your own pace. Take advantage of the festive atmosphere by wandering through the numerous Christmas Markets across the city. Consider exploring the historic Great Market Hall, boasting a delightful array of foods and wines, or treat yourself to a festive dip in one of the renowned thermal baths for a rejuvenating Christmas experience.     Day 3 | Overnight Onboard The Golden Eagle Danube Express

    Late morning, you will be transferred to Nyugati station to enjoy a drinks reception in the impressive Royal Waiting Room before boarding the Golden Eagle Danube Express. A private brass band will perform as the train departs from the station, and our uniformed train staff will be there to escort you to your private en-suite cabin. In the afternoon explore all Vienna has to offer, with a panoramic tour of the breathtaking grand boulevard encircling Vienna’s historic quarters. From here enjoy a traditional ‘Fiaker’ (horse-drawn carriage) ride through the charming city streets, before sampling the traditional Pirker gingerbread in front of magnificent St Stephen’s.     Day 4 | Overnight Onboard The Golden Eagle Danube Express

    Following breakfast, disembark the train and visit the Museum of Fine Arts – the largest museum in Austria. Opened to the public in 1891, the main part of the museum’s collection is made up of artworks acquired by the Habsburg dynasty. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the famous Christmas market situated on Maria-Theresien Platz. After Lunch, continue to Schönbrunn Palace for an exclusive tour; followed by more Christmas Markets. Savour a cup of punch at the famous Café Residenz booth and enjoy some time for Christmas shopping before we head back to the train for dinner.     Day 5 | Overnight Onboard The Golden Eagle Danube Express

    Today, continue to Salzburg and disembark to explore the heart of the beautiful city. First stop is the famous UNESCO World Heritage 17th-century palace; Mirabell Palace. A short distance from the palace on Market Square (Marketplatz) lies the former Mozart Residence, now a museum. From here we will cross the Makartsteg bridge into the Old Town and walk along the Getreidegasse, Salzburg’s most famous street. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure at Salzburg’s famous Christmas market. Its unique location in the middle of the World Heritage Old Town of Salzburg, the traditional stalls, and its long history make the Salzburg Christmas market something incredibly special.     Day 6 | Munich

    Following a leisurely breakfast onboard the private train, you will make a visit to the Dom Quartier, a unique cultural highlight in the heart of Salzburg. The terrace above the Cathedral Arches reveals stunning views of the Salzburg historic district as well as the mountains surrounding the city. Head back to the train for lunch and enjoy the spectacular Bavarian scenery as you head across the border into Germany for a two-night stop in Munich. (Overnight in Munich) B,L,D 

    Day 7 | Munich

    Enveloped in the ineffable aura of festive joy, Christmas in Munich becomes truly enchanting. Among the city’s renowned Christmas markets, the one situated on Marienplatz in the city center stands out. Dating back to the 1600s, this centuries-old market seamlessly blends traditional Bavarian customs, featuring delectable Brätwurst and freshly roasted chestnuts, with modern delights such as decadent sweets and captivating electric creations. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner and reflect on the memories made from this wonderful winter escapade across Central Europe before continuing your journey. (Overnight in Munich) B 

    Day 8 | Munich to Zurich

    Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Munich station ready to meet your direct train to Zurich. Enjoy breathtaking views as you cross the Arlberg Pass from the Austrian/Swiss borders. Check in to your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Zurich) B 

    Day 9 | Day Trip to The Jungfraujoch

    Following breakfast, Ascend to one of Europe’s highest peaks on a full-day trip to the magnificent mountain region of Jungfrau from Zurich. Travel by luxury coach through the scenic splendor of the Bernese Oberland region to the charming village of Grindelwald.
